This notice explains how Amelia’s Helping Hands uses personal information through this website and related enquiries, reviews and job applications. It does not replace the information provided when arranging an individual care package or handling care records.
Who is responsible?

- Job applications: contact details, experience, availability and any CV or other application information you send us by email.
- Photographs: customer project photographs supplied for the website. If a photograph identifies you or your home, it may be personal information.

Please do not include health information, care records, private addresses, contact details or information about other people in a public review. Discuss sensitive care information directly with Amelia, rather than posting it on the website.

Reviews and customer photographs
Your review name, rating and text appear on the Reviews page and may also appear on the homepage. They can be seen by anyone able to access the website; if the website is made public, this includes the general public and search engines. Your review is optional. The form requires a display name, rating, feedback and agreement to publication in order to submit.
You can withdraw publication consent or ask us to remove or correct your review or an identifiable customer photograph by emailing Amelia or calling the number above. Tell us enough to locate the item. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Copies already made by other people or search engines may remain outside our control.
Who receives information?
Amelia and team members who need the information may access it for the purposes above. Website hosting and storage are supplied through OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure. Email providers process messages you send to us. Providers may also process technical information for security and service delivery. Information may be shared with professional advisers or authorities when needed for legal requirements or handling a dispute.
The optional map is supplied by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Its Privacy Policy explains its processing. Facebook and other external links take you to services with their own privacy arrangements. Clicking an email link uses your selected email provider.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the reason the information is needed:
- Enquiries are kept while dealing with your request and any necessary follow-up. If you become a customer, relevant details become part of the service records.
- Recruitment information is kept while considering the application and for any necessary follow-up or resolution of recruitment-related questions. Relevant information for a successful applicant becomes part of their employment records.
- Reviews and identifiable project photographs are retained while they remain relevant to showing our services and publication consent continues, or until removal is requested and actioned.
- Correspondence about complaints, legal obligations or disputes may need to be kept until the matter and any applicable record-keeping requirement have ended.
- Hosting and third-party technical records are subject to the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
We use the purpose, any ongoing service relationship and applicable record-keeping needs to decide when information is no longer needed. Contact Amelia for details about a particular record.
Where information is processed
The website, storage, email and external-service providers may process information outside the UK. Locations and safeguards depend on the provider and service. Contact Amelia for information about the arrangements that apply to your data and how to obtain details of any applicable transfer safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it. Some rights have conditions or exceptions.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Amelia using the details above and explain your circumstances.
We do not use the website to make solely automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
